Lucid Air, Inc. is currently attempting to design, manufacture and market the worlds most luxuriate EV electric vehicle.

The brand new (1st edition) electric vehicle is called the “Lucid Air” and is planning a product launch date of April 2021 where it it will reveal the final designs, specifications, and pricing.

At, present, the new car is the highest in it’s class and rumored to be cost over $100,00 and does offers the benefit of a $7500 federal tax credit.

The Lucid Air EV has an impressive .21 aerodynamic rating which makes it very efficient and is currently claiming the car is the most aero-efficient car luxury electric vehicle on the market.

This efficiency may be what enables the vehicle to offer a low cost battery to coin cost of only 3.6 cents per mile – verses and average gasoline car that gets 9.6 cents per mile.

The Lucid Electric Vehicle has an impressive 0-60 speed of 2.5 and a top speed on +250 MPH, though not yet fully document. It has a range of over 400 miles per charge and charges to full capacity in a non-impressive time of 85 hours.

The 2012 Lucid Air is expected to cost over $100,000, have up to 1,000hp, and have a top riving distance range of over 400 miles per charge.

The newly appointed CEO President Peter Rawlinson is quoted as saying:

The New Lucid Air will create a new standard for efficiency with 4 to 5 miles of range per kWh. This is the fist in class for a full-size luxury sedan.

The car will be available in the UK, USA, European Countries, Canada, Australia and New Zealand just to name a few. Lucid Inc. is currently building it’s first 820,000 sq. ft. building and factory in Casa Grande, Arizona which will employ about 745 people and is expected to hire another 4,000 people over the next 5 years.

Lucid Motors current headquarters is in Newark California and plans to build massive electric vehicle factory in Casa Grande, Arizona. The first 820,000-sq-ft building on the Lucid site will include manufacturing, assembly, storage and rooftop solar panels to support the central utility plant.

The upstart electric vehicle carmaker is currently planning to use the batteries from LG Chem battery factory . Under Lucid’s Atieva specialty battery division, the LG Chem group also supplies battery packs for Formula E racing.

This battery pack is the highest voltage of in its class providing over 900 volts of energy vs. the 400 currently offered by other EV manufacturers.

The LG Chem group is a mature battery specialty company with a long history and deep knowledge o all types of battery cells, battery chemistry, and battery management charging systems.

In and interview with Lucid Inc. President and CEO Peter Rawlinson he is quoted at saying:

We continue to reach milestones on the journey to Lucid Air production at our new Casa Grande, AZ, factory late this year.

Among them is a new partnership with LG Chem that will supply battery cells for standard versions of the Lucid Air through 2023. With these advanced battery cells, we can lock in core volume production forecasts for the Lucid Air for the next several years.

“The agreement with LG Chem puts Lucid on the best possible path to production for the Lucid Air, ensuring the necessary energy density and cell availability to fulfill our promise of class-leading range to consumers,” said CEO Peter Rawlinson.


Who is Lucid Motors?
Originally named Atieva, Lucid Motors is Startup American High Performance Electric Vehicle company developed and found for the specific reason to design, manufacture and market a better quality EV car. The company was founded in 2007 by Bernard Tse and Sam Weng and is based in Newark, California.
