As electric cars increase in popularity, we’ll begin to see more traditional deals on them. In addition, when automakers are struggling to sell these cars, the situation may encourage healthy incentives. With the global COVID-19 pandemic shuttering businesses and creating tough economic times, the promotional offers are growing.

This May, several electric vehicles are available with either excellent lease deals, huge discounts, low financing rates, or deferred payment plans. Some cars are available with a combination of these offers. Other deals aren’t so appealing, but we’ve included them for comparison. It’s important to note that not all deals are published yet, so we’ll update this article soon as more incentives become public.

As usual, Chevrolet Bolt EV deals are superb. We expect Hyundai, Kia, and Nissan to publish some terrific incentives as well. BMW is offering good options for the i3. Leasing a Tesla Model 3 isn’t cheap, but compared to the Jaguar I-Pace and Audi e-tron, it looks like a steal.
